Mariposa Mamá

Many empowered mamá’s choose to have their little ones close to them, especially during infancy.  This is really important as it promotes bonding, closeness, warmth and emotional well-being for both you and the baby.  If the baby is still a newborn, he can hear your heart beat as he lay on your chest and its a very powerful tool as it brings them a lot of comfort and can help calm fussy babies.

My favorite wrap is actually a Moby wrap that comes in a lot of tradition and fun colors and designs.  After practicing a few times, it is actually very simple to use and can be used in something like 12 positions!  Positions include in the front (my favorite), the back, the hip, nursing, twins, and facing foward in the front.

I can’t tell you what a difference my baby and I felt when we were always connected this way.  I would see babies left in car seats all alone with no human touch while my baby lay snuggled against my body, next to the breast where he could be close to me and know he is loved and well cared for.

That’s what empowered mamá’s do!  We nurture our children and do what we can to provide an enivornment that is fostering and loving.
